Joining Jools in the studio this week are Australia's Crowded House, led by Neil Finn, with tracks from their recent album, Time On Earth.
Former Moloko star Roisin Murphy performs numbers from her current album, Overpowered - a sharp package of electronic soul stitched together with crisp beats and her blistering vocals.
Also in the room is one of Britain's most respected singer-songwriters, Richard Thompson. Back in the 60s he founded and led Fairport Convention. Now, 40 years later, he is releasing his latest album, Sweet Warrior.
Making their television debut are Battles, an experimental/progressive four-piece band from New York City. Their debut album, Mirrored, has been widely acclaimed as one of the albums of the year.
Making up the bill are R&B/soul singer from South Carolina, Angie Stone and Chicago jazz vocalist Kurt Elling. Chatting at the piano will be REM front-man Michael Stipe and director/photographer Anton Corbijn.
