What to get next?

Hi Guys
Your input is politely requested with regard an upgrade.
System as follows
Naim Nait5 Nap150 FlatCap 2
Naim CDX 2
Monitor Audio Silver S8's

I would like to change or add something to the above, either swap the Nait to a 202 or get an XPS2 for the CDX 2. If I did change the Nait I would eventually change the 150 to a 200 sometime in the near future. I have a budget of approx £2000 and I know the XPS2 is slightly more but can just about stretch to it. Your views on what would be the more significant upgrade would be gratefully appreciated.

For £2k, might be able to find an ex-dem 202 and an s/h XPS. That would be my suggested route.

Having said that, you can buy a s/h 82 for about the same cash as the 202. Some people I've talked to have suggested the 82 is noticeably better, some have said it's just different. Me, I've organised a dem to go find out for myself.

I personnaly would upgrade your system as folows:

1-Swap the nait for a Nac 202
2-Swap the flatcap2 for a Hicap (you could find a second hand)
3-later on you can swap the 150 for a 200 or a 250mk2
4-XPS2

202 and a HiCap is probably the most effective way to spend the money. Half of the FlatCap2 is wasted at the moment anyway, so it might as well be swapped for a HiCap which would enhance a 202 far more than the FC2.
