Paul,
Feel free to teach me.
Thanks in advance.
markcas ,
Thanks for the site,
I didn't find there a clear technical explanation (if there is any).

Humans are very susceptible to suggestion and even more prone to insecurity. If you have confidence you've set your system up better, perhaps by having considered the plug order, then it will sound better.

Leaving aside the sceptics (who want to spare 15 minutes though it would be enough to percept it for anybody, including the policeman on the corner), I don’t think it’s against the low of Mother Nature. All I want is 5 billion (milliard) dollar for founding a team of the best physiks expert and I’m sure I’ll guarrante the result in 5 years or less. We’ll understand all of audio’s parameters.
Supposing the society don’t want to spend this sum for clearing up the basics of Hi-Fi, your query will be unanswered I’m afraid.

I agree with you' I thought that maybe there is an explanation for this.

Paul ,
Power amp, PS for pre and nac,cd.
But I didn't try it in another order.
I also didn't try to check if the cables are directional as I don't see any reason why not following Naim's instructions - and for the same reason I locate the PS 30 cm' from the pre and don't try to see if I can I locate it closer.

As usual, there used to be plenty of explanations only we can never now which does really meet the case.
On the other hand, the right order is: source comes first, amp comes last. For half a year or so I was not that sure, I’ve published my query (like you now) on the Forum and had debattes with some US comrads of us who were of the opposite opinion. However, I felt that they could not be right, and at the end I got a message from the Naim Headquartier. They ’ve told I was right.
Nevertheless, it’s a good training to try it for yourself.
