Hi

What do people think of Russ Andrews Yello Power Cables. Will they improve the sound of my Naim System or should I stick with the original Naim power cables.

thanks

Mark

I know of better and Naim didn't supply it.

I haven't tried the Yellow mains cables but the more expensive 'Powerkords' so here's my impressions:
First one I tried on my 250 I was impressed. Vocals clearer, bass tidied up, I kept it. However the second one didn't have such a dramatic effect on my Kairn preamp but an slight improvement. It didn't improve my Duo Micomega CD player nor my LP12. I tried the Power Block complete with Powerkord but sent it back; it certainly improved the soundstage but everything seemed more hifi not melodic, kind of pulled things apart.
I guess the message is try it, there's a 30 day trial money back guarantee, so no loss. It seems to work with some stuff and not others, probably system dependant. If you don't enjoy the music more send it back.
Incidently I recently reverted to Naim's supplied mains cable on the 250 and it still sounds less enjoyable. Sorry Naim!

I use Naim mains for Naim, and Yello on Linn / Tom Evans / Nakamichi / Quad / Marantz

Small improvements, but only £25 a go.

As has been said, try it, you might like it, if not, send it back for a refund.
