Fits his image perfectly I would have thought. Now what song?
Dear God, Please Help Me
I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday
Set me thinking about other people to front the UK entry:
John Lydon and Keith Emerson agree to do the 2007 Eurovision - you read it first here!

Nothing would surprise me with John "Hypocrite" Lydon. After the reunion tour and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here it can only leave him having his own chat show. I'd love to see him on Eurovision so everyone will finally realise what a disappointment he is.

Easy to forget that the Sex pistols were instrumental in turning a very stale mid seventies British music industry on its head. For that alone I am grateful.
I don't begrudge the reunion tour either, after all if the band can't make some money off past glories then who else should. After all they did call it the 'filty lucre' tour so no disguising of the motives. As to 'I'm a celeb' -as little of it that I watched, Lydon came across as a sharp witted, open minded individual.

Me too. Some of the dinosaurs of Rock have rightly returned stronger and regained their heritage but it was at time when music needed a massive kick up the Jacuzzi.................. and clearly it paved the way for 'less serious' but equally entertaining and thought provoking music

In reference to your most eloquent and broad minded "what a load of bolox' comment I feel the spirit of punk running through me when I say go stick it where the sun don't shine.
I would have preferred to use the type of language Johnny would approve of but forum rules don't allow.

Didn't know Morrisey was in the Sex Pistols

Diccus : Ces Jacuzzi (and The Slumlords) are American, does that preclude them from being in Eurovision?

I think you might have missed Howard's irony

I was commenting in 2 ways. I think SPs were a waste of space. The "punk" era however did produce some good sounds. Also the belief that the punk generation was the first to say fuck the system or what ever. Many more erudite earlier anti establishment acts have got the message of a revolution over so much better.
The so called dinosaurs carried on and people still listened, when most of the punk acts dissapeared without trace.
You could(I don't) say that rap was more significant, it certainly lasted longer.

Morrisey/Pistols Eurovision Mashup
Holiday in the Sun
A cheep holiday in other peoples misery, oooohhhhh!
I dont wanna holiday in the sun I wanna go with easyjet I wanna see some
History cause now I got a reasonable economy, Oh Gordon Brown how I loved your Futures Market, I visited every Saturday with with my basket full of Gladies
Now I got a reason, now I got a reason now I got a reason and Im still waiting for the Number 32 to Salford
Now I got a reason now I got reason to be waiting to climb Betty Turpin's wall
Quadrophonic sound in a two inch wall well I was waiting for the Albert Tatlocks call
I didnt ask for sunshine and I got a cup of Darjeeling Tea Im looking over the wall
And theyre looking at me ,OOOOOOh how i'd love the travesity of life at Buck House
Now I got a reason, now I got a reason now I got a reason and Im still waiting for my delivery of Tesco goodies
Now I got a reason, now I got a reason to be waiting the reissues of some Ealing classics
Well theyre staring all night and theyre staring all day I had no reason to
Be here at all but now I gotta reason its no real reason and still watching.....Stars on Sunday
Gotta go over the Betty Turpin's wall I dont understand it.... I gotta go over the
Wall I dont understand this bit at all....
Claustropfobia theres too much paranoia theres too many closets, but they won't let me out, Harry Lime, Harry Lime, your such a beautiful man, I went in
Before and now I gotta reason, its no real reason to be waiting by Betty Turpin's wall
Gotta go over the Betty Turpin's wall I dont understand it.... I gotta go over her
Wall I dont understand this bit at all, I just wish she'd invite me in for some scones with Robinson's Rasperry and Clotted Cream.....
Please dont be waiting for me (i'll be in the Rover's love)
Regards
