Mac, DAC and FLAC!

Please help guys, have just got a Naim DAC and was hoping to download some hi-res files from Linn, Naim, B&W etc but I dont have a clue! Linn suggest using Max for mac but it just sits in my downloads file and the preferences don't appear as they should. Is there an idiot (ie me) proof way of accessing these files? Whether through max or another way Confused

Hi Tony, have checked in utilities and MIDI out still set to 24/96 am concerned that pcstockton may have hit the nail on the head. When the DAC was demmed I thought I was hearing a macbook direct to it.
