BBC Radio4 (The Home Service), non of this popular stuff thank you.

Occationally BBC 6Music, very occationally BBC Radio2.

BBC Radio 1 used to be in there up until the sad death of John Peel, tried Rob Da Bank but he just isn't John, and haven't listened to it at all since.

I can't stand 5Live, tried the cricket, but every few minutes they broke away to talk about football managers, dreadful.

In LA for rock it has to be KSWD 100.3 The Sound

The DJs do things like roll dice to pick the number track, pick B-sides, evening DJ Andy Chanley puts on a vinyl side when he leaves at 8. They have triple play Thursdays, and best of all every 6 weeks they play vinyl sides all day long from midnight to midnight. Sunday evenings they have guest DJs to play what they like for an hour. Bonnie Raitt was my favorite.

The website takes suggestions, I"ve emailed several DJs individually and had nice responses back. Andy also starts his show with a triple play suggestion and if it's yours and you call in you get money reward.

Now that beats all the other rock stations in LA for fun.

The other is classical KUSC 91.5

Another vote for Radio Paradise here. Since I bought my Uniti, apart from the odd Radio 2 show (Paul Jones, Radcliffe & Maconie). if I want to listen to radio then its RP everytime.

No filler, no adverts, no inane DJ ramblings, no news, just plain good music. I can't keep count of all the different acts I've heard on it that I keep meaning to investigate further.

I listen to CBC fm and CKUA. One of the nice things about CKUA is that they stream live on the internet. They also have a very eclectic mix of programs, which really expands one's appreciation for a wide range of genres...

With the new Focus I get Sirius for 6 months and I"ve taken advantage of it. Dealer plugged in a Sinatra station, some of the strings and slow songs have major compression issues but it's a good mix of 40-60s band singers.

Today driving home I listened to 16 which is "Deeper Cuts" Tom Petty was DJ and Billy Gibbons did a request for a great blues song. His collection of records is from his private collection.

I have yet to hear Dylan's show but I heard another DJ say he call's himself Joe. LOL Bob loves obscuring his life.

Great idea for a thread guys - particularly as I've not tried internet radio thus far, so recommendations really appreciated.
