Erin McKeown

Hi folks.

Just wanted to ask whether anyone has any heard the recorded work of Erin Mckeown. I saw her support Richard Thompson in Glasgow last night and was impressed with her sound and personality - the big question is, however, does that translate well to her recorded work?

I didn't buy her CD - prob'ly shoulda - but nonetheless thought I'd poll the members to see if anyone has any experience with her music.

I think I've spelt her surname correctly; however, a few sunny pints on the grass today might have taken the edge off my vocab...

Hi there,

There are a couple of Erin albums. The second one - 'Distillation' - is worth a punt but the majority of the songs simply don't have the life they have live. One awesome track "How To Break My Heart" which fooled me into buying but the live performance far exceeds the recorded product thusfar.
