If you had only one CD or LP from this artist which one would you choose?
Recommendations please.

The current one Half a Perfect World but I would also buy Careless Love as they are both excellent discs. I know that makes 2 before anyone tells me.

Funnily enough, although people are quick to pigeonhole her, all the albums are different. I keep coming back to the current 'Half a...' for its variety

I prefer Careless Love.....
Both good but the first is the best.

Thanks to all you guys for your choices, although mostly different.
I bought Got you on my mind with William Galison recently. An interesting album although a slightly strange format with 2 artists sharing. I thought the MP tracks good enough to get another one.I have since found that it is now possible to get Careless Love on audiophile vinyl so this will be the way to go.
The black stuff always wins.

And the thing is that apart from musically very satisfying the recording is generally of a really good quality (even on CD).

I find the production on 'Half a' is too warm for my liking - dynamics are missing, no clarity/space at all. Anyone else noticed this?

Once you've seen her live, this "which is her best album" discussion will become most academic...

Live is always the best but we don't get many live acts coming to St Andrews, only a lot of golfers and they usually don't sing.
