NAPSC

Posted by: MichaelC on 07 April 2003

I have recently added a HiCap to my fairly recent 102/180 combination. The HiCap has proved to be a significant leap forward. My question is - what benefits am I likely to gain by adding a NAPSC? ie will it bring about another noticeable improvement.

Having said that my wallet needs a rest, since adding the HiCap I've gone on a mad vinyl spree!!!

Thanks

It will clear up much of the "grit" that's left in the signal, making the result seem far less grainy. Not as much benefit as the Hi-Cap, though (as the lower price suggests).

I waited to get the devise for my cd3.5/high cap/102/ high cap/250 initial outlay.

Dealer came by to check my set up. We tried the napsc. Sounded much better, well worth the extra money to my ear. Yes, smoother less "noise". Agreed less difference than the high cap but worth the cost.

Yes,

But not huge.

Like everything, worth doing.

What (I seem to recall, it was 1999) it did was overcome the painful warmup period that my old 180/102 was going through when new, smoothed everything up and took the agression and brightness off which was really irritating me and put down to running in.

Its so cheap to do and believe the new one is even better.

Good luck.
