Another T-Shirt Slogan Thread

Posted by: Deane F on 28 February 2007

I looked up the last one with the search function but it has been locked - along with all the threads in the archive I presume.

Anyway, this was seen by me last night on a woman with a large bosom. The text was quite small and one had to peer a little to closely perhaps...

This is the part where I nod and act like I'm listening.

And I loved this one which I spotted on a university campus:

How can I be overdrawn? I still have some cheques left.

On the back of the shirt I bought a couple of weeks ago on ski vacation:

Altaholics Anonymous

Alta, of course, is a ski area about 30 miles outside of Salt Lake City, Utah known for its powder skiing. One would need to be a skiier to understand the lengths we go to to pursue the ultimate powder experience.

The Jurassic Fart is an all time favourite as well - complete with a large T Rex blasting a rocket sized cloud...

If you read through another thread in the Padded Cell you'll see that all cosmic reasoning is bizarre...

Hi there Macker. One of my email addresses is in my profile if you'd like to email me.

Reminded my friend of one that did the rounds in the 1980s:

I am not tacky. Sticky perhaps, but not tacky.

Yes, a $10k+ 2-channel integrated is something I'd like to see and hear. Especially against a 202/200.

Redeye is from Chch too - though I haven't seen a post from him for a while. Maybe he's lurking but not posting....?

My email address is in my profile, Pete.

I certainly hope the supernait is no where near $10K....it's UK pricing is around 2250 to 2350 (haven't had anyone one confirm which is correct yet)..and seems about the same as a pair of Allae's, which retail here for $6700 from memory. So hopefully around the $7K mark would be nice. Otherwise I fear it will price itself off the market here (a 122/150x prepower plus outboard DAC would be a better proposition in that case).

There is a VERY good chance we might see each other at Top Hifi.... ;-)

I quadruple British prices (give or take a little) for Naim to find the New Zealand dollar amount.

12,000 GBP for a NAC 552 = $45,000 NZD etc

So that pushes a SuperNait pretty close to $10,000 I reckon.

At that price I don't think too many will sell in New Zealand, as good as Naim gear is..there are plenty of ways to go Naim audio and add on DAC and headphone support for a lot cheaper.

As I understand the performance slots in between 122/150x & 202/200. Have to check pricing but I think you could even go AV2 + Nait5i for less $$

Performace is so far pure conjecture and we will have to wait and see what it sounds like. Expect one to be available in April sometime.
