Soldevere,
I've got 'What another man spills' and 'Like a woman', both not bad at all, but if I'd have heard either of these as my first taste of Lambchop, I'd have thought 'ok, pleasant enough but nothing truly special'.
Nixon, however, is in a different class. As I said before, its an album to play again and again, revealing something new all the time. Upbeat country-funk to achingly beautiful ballads. Its one of the best records I've ever heard in my life, a real treasure. You have lived too long without it in your life, go and buy now.
All the best, Malky.

Retrospective, the Animals; a great, remastered (finally!) collection of the best by one of the half-dozen greatest bands of the Beat Boom. Tough stuff; growing up in Newcastle, England must have been a challenge. Tough, no-nonsense R'n'B resulted.
