Isobarik aKtivated by LINNs, help connection
Posted by: masaccio on 18 October 2002
Hi experts,
I just made SN67xx isobariks in aktive operation by old Linn amps.
I know this is Naim forum, but I learned briks in this forum, know a lot of briks holders here, and hope to make my briks NAIMed in future. Anyway, my question here is very Linn, need experts' help for its connection.
My combo is kairn/aktive/dirak/LK280x3
Now LK280s are connected treble, mid, bass for each to the aktive, this operation seems very reasonable for me. But in LINN official on-line manual, they recommended as "When connecting the system to the LK2 power amplifiers we recommend that you connect LEFT BASS and RIGHT MIDDLE to one LK2, LEFT' MIDDLE and RIGHT BASS to the second LK2 and LEFT and RIGHT TREBLE to the third LK2." (see page 7 on iso_akt_user_manl.PDF in http://www.linn.co.uk/cust_supp/show_manuals.cfm?language_id=English)
Can this be used for my LK280s? And why they recommended like this?
Any idea?
Thanks,
Masahiro
