If this is anywhere near as awful as the surround sound version of REM's 'Everybody Hurts' that Meridian were proudly demoing at Bristol (and still only the second worst piece they demonstrated), I'd save your money for a night at the Royal Opera House.

Don't worry David, I won't be going anywhere near it. The idea of these surround mixes seems like musical necrophilia to me, but I was just very surprised that something like Pet Sounds was getting the treatment.
I can't discern the strategy of either The DVD-A or SACD camps in getting either format adopted, but what they're doing at the moment certainly isn't the way to go about it!
