Linn DS on NAIM gear?

I haven't heard Naim speakers in such a setup, but my experience of the Klimax DS with Naim amplification (552/300/250) and Linn Komris has been that they make a truly spectacular combination. I'm sure Naim speakers would also work well in such a setup (and Neat or Kudos speakers would possibly be even better than similarly priced alternatives from either Linn or Naim).

I auditioned the Klimax DS not on Naim gear but with Hovland tube amps last weekend. I brought along my Transporter for comparison.

The audition only lasted for about 45 minutes. Compared to the Transporter which is not much more than 10% its price, the Klimax had a blacker background, and sailed through complex section of the music more readily than the Transporter.

However, considering the price difference, I can live with the Transporter quite happily. Like the Transporter,the Klimax is dead neutral and has no color of its own, which may fit the Naim gears quite well since Naim does add its own audio signature.

Yes me! I run a Linn Accurate DS through 52/SC/135s/IBLs/nSub and mighty fine it sounds too, well when my NAS drive is working - a fault with the NAS has left me with a temporary setup, having to use a laptop, but that's another story.

Thousands of folk have been using a Linn LP12 as their source for years, so why not a Linn DS?
