Hawk, what did your mum tell you about Sky News?

Aside from the fact this information is around 2 weeks old, Sky have it slightly slanted shall we say.

It was actually a microsoft employee who feels he created the software for portable devices (there is a claim by microshaft that they have the patent to pushable buttons would you believe.)

Anyway here is a slightly more balanced article

You're talking about the iPod, right?

Steve the iPod is not a second rate product. No company could sell in excess of 23 million of them if they were.

Hate apple all you like, and we know you like, but you can't place your dislike onto a product which put simply has revolutionised portable music, (since the walkman of course)

You seem to think Windows is second rate, but how many copies of that have Apple sold?

I think you need to review my post in the context of this thread (e.g. Microsoft making money out of the iPod), but next time I'll be sure to add a smiley for the hard of thinking...

I own an iPod myself and I find it a decent enough bit of hardware if somewhat over-hyped and over-priced. It's also crashed a couple of times in my 8 months of ownership as well.

BTW I don't hate Apple as such (I own several of their products), just sad Apple geeks who seem to want to shout from the rooftops everytime they buy a new bit of kit or apply a patch release of their operating system.
