It's going to happen very soon. The great
event which will end the horror. Which will
end the sorrow. Next Tuesday, when the sun
goes down, I will play the Moonlight Sonata
backwards. This will reverse the effects of
the world's mad plunge into suffering, for
the last 200 million years. What a lovely
night that would be. What a sigh of relief, as
the senile robins become bright red again,
and the retired nightingales, pick up their
dusty tails, and assert the majesty of creation!
or to put it another way, Dylan releases his 44th album called Modern Times!

Dylan? But here you've quoted Leonard Cohen ... I'm so confused. You mean the Great Event that Cohen was writing about was the release of a new Dylan album?

Well my friends are gone and my hair is grey
I ache in the places where I used to play
And I'm crazy for love but I'm not coming on
I'm just paying my rent every day
Oh in the Tower of Song

yes, everything that is written anywhere is simply a precursor to Dylan.

Indeed : Hildegard von Bingen's Canticles of Ecstasy were meerly a musing on when (note when not if) Dylan would go electric

Some outlets are saying 28th, others 29th. 28th is a BH but fingers crossed anyway.

Columbia Records say "Bob Dylan's first new album in five years, Modern Times, will arrive in stores and online August 28th."

I note that Apple (via itunes) has released a Bob Dylan collection covering all his wowlbums, some bootlegs,. etc and is avaliable for digital download at approx 800 tracks for £169.99
I probably have 99% of them but Dylanologists will snap it up no doubt.

For the pedants amongst you I correct myself...
"will no doubt snap it up"
