Center or downmix? Advice very welcome

So I bought this AV2, ready to add surround to my system. I will need extra power amp and extra speakers, of course, so my question is: do you (av people) consider the center channel mandatory or could I do with a Nap 150 and just two n-Sats for the rear, downmixing center channel into front L+R?
Share your experience with me and enjoy New Year's Eve (expecially if Eve has a friend and takes a few more bottles along)!

http://forums.naim-audio.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4801938...172920807#2172920807 - if watching 5.1 encoded films I would consider the centre channel more important, for me, than the rears/surround.

Thanks very much Adam, I treasure your opinions expecially since I read that you don't watch television, as I do not also. Happy New Year. Massimo

Very much agree with Adam here , the center speaker is definetly the most important of the 5.1 speakers for AV purposes . Go for it !!!!

Best wishes ,
