Power strips.

I phoned my local dealer yesterday to enquire as to whether they sell or recommend any decent power strips. The unexpected reply was that they had tried quite a few, and most of them made the sound worse. He added that this was system dependent, but he said they use the local B&Q for their instore demo equipment power strips.
Well, that has just saved me £70 or so.
Sounds like an honest response from a company that could very easily make a large profit on unnecessary tweaks.

Tony,

It would indeed be excellent if a cheap off-the-shelf unit worked as well as the expensive alternatives.

In one respect,it may work well in the sense that it ties the System's Earth's to one place.

But,at the risk of sounding like an advert for the Audio Counsel,I would suggest that you investigate their Mains Block's and Leads. They are VERY good.

Your dealer is correct when he mentions things being system dependant (arn't all things ?).But if you trawl through the Forum, you will find that the majority of people who have tried their mains solutions report that they are more than happy with the results.

Regards

Chris
