MOTW again

Posted by: Pete on 07 May 2003

The "last album you brought" thread's a bit unwieldy now, so here's a starter for 10: Black Cherry, the new one from Goldfrapp.

Like Felt Mountain it's a goodie, and they've moved on a bit with quite a few harder edges as well.

Top!

Following on from the MOLW, MOTW is:

Hardfloor.

Yesterday I picked up a decent vinyl copy of 'Hardtrance Acperience', which I had on CD and bits on other vinyls, but not the whole thing. In the last few weeks I have filled in a few other gaps in the Hardfloor rack.

What a classic track Acperience is!

I have followed thier output from 'Let da Bass flow' to 'Take off Da Hot Sweater' (As Dadamnphreaknoizphunk)

I am missing a few remixes, notably the black version of Mahogany Roots.

Anyone else partake ?

OTD - Mary Kiani - With or Without you (DJ Trevor mix)

I'll second Pete's recommendation of the new Goldfrapp.

If you liked Felt Mountain you'll love Black Cherry...

Yep

Black Cherry by Goldfrapp - a goodie.

Also got a CDR boot of stuff lefdt over from Mike (Mu-ziq/Jake Slazenger) Paradinas' first album. Great stuf, inc a truly bizarre version of Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Oh, and a soundboard CD of New Order's first-ever gig - at Blackpool Scamps in 1980!
