Could he book any further ahead?

Wednesday/Thursday/Tuesday in London O2 how thoughtful.

Do you think Dave will play...?! Winker

So, if I get on the blower next week and book for the night of the 17th, I can almost certainly guarantee a week or two later they will then announce a spring of extra dates and a new 'last night'....?! Confused

How thoughtful to miss out the entire centre of the country - just like so many 'artists' these days.

Just what is so great about the O2 apart from being in the middle of nowhere and it takes 2.5 hours to get out of the car parks?

The sound is incredibly good.

If you get the boat from the 02, it's a stunning ride back to London Bridge, Embankment or Westminster.

To be fair to Mr Bombastic, he is playing Manchester as well, and it's perhaps a bit unfair to expect him to lug all that gear up and down a small country like Blighty.

A friend got me tickets for Anaheim show in SoCal mid summer I think. I saw them in LA back in 81 or so, It was really incredible. Bought the album afterward but never the CD.

I will not be forking out £60 to see him at the public lavatory known as the MEN Arena.

Is it really that bad, I was thinking of going?
Posted on: 02 June 2010 by Bob McC
Yes it is.
Drunken louts smoking in the auditorium and threatening any stewards who try to do anything about it.
A concourse that is too small for the number of people milling around.
Everyone frisked on entry and any water/drinks/food on their person confiscated.
It is that bad.
I'm a Mancunian and am ashamed of it.

I saw the Eagles there last year and it was nothing like that. There was a group of endless chatterers behing us but you get them everywhere.

You're wrong. You've been once. In manchester it is a constant source of complaints in the local press. Recently their door goons even took a bottle of water and sandwiches off a diabetic and refused her dispensation.

That made a full page in the Evening News. I've been challenged everytime I've ever visited as to whether I have any food or drink on me. That's happened at The Stones, The Beautiful South, Roger Waters and The Eagles the tour before the one you saw. People were complaining on the radio that it also happened at every one of the execrable Peter Kaye's gigs a month ago.

Hmmm...Bob seems I was lucky then.

I now approach the Santana gig at the same venue later this year with trepidation.

We have decided not to be ripped off.I didn't see the PF perform the Wall so don't think I will be too bothered by missing a 1/4 scale version.

Quite a negative vibe folks, I saw Roger a few years ago at wembeley arena and it was a good show. II for one will be trying to land some tickets. I see from earlier posts that tickets are c£60, it costs nearly tht to watch a top premiership game......
Are tickets on sale yet?

We too saw him a couple of years ago and indeed it was a good show, but it weren't 60 odd quid! I wouldn't pay that much for a football match either.

Hey guys, it's all about stuffing your coffers with the most cash at this point. I'm sure Waters needs another estate, expensive car and all those roadies to keep employed. Retirement is just around the corner.

I went to Hyde Park four years ago, Earls Court and the O2, all brilliant concerts. This is last chance time so if you are a fan surely you must go. Yes it is expensive but only the price of a few CDs or one audiophile vinyl and this is live music so there is no comparison.

I feel fortunate to have secured tickets for two nights next May and can't wait.

Totally agree with you. I saw Roger in Sydney 3 years ago and it was one of my favourite ever concerts - worth every penny. Looking forward to The Wall - I am sure this will be stunning. Not sure where £60 comes from as most tickets are £85.

I was in Paris at the weekend - 4 cheeseburgers and chips french style and a few drinks 80 quid in a restaurant. Makes Roger pretty good value.
