It's Christmas!!

Driving home tonight I spotted a house plastered in illuminated santas, sleighs, snowmen and heaven knows what else. And it's only 25 November!! Maybe there should be a law to prevent the erection of dodgy external festive lighting until say two weeks before the big day. Has anyone else seen lights up already?

Yep thats the rule in certain bits of County Durham. Up 12 Days before the end of November, down 12 days after the start of January

Actually I've felt that the run up to Christmas has been relatively restrained this year. 25th November for the first signs is not bad. We make this complaint every year and previously I have seen signs of christmas before the fireworks have even been cleared away!

That's not to say, however, that I am not in agreement with others about early christmas behaviour. I am a stickler for the 12 day rule in our house.

It's for the children, it's their time so will make an effort for them. We will celebrate not the new year coming but good riddance to this one going Winker
