Things to do in Manchester....?

Posted by: arf005 on 15 January 2007

We (self and gorgeous other half) have tickets to see Kylie this Friday at the MEN, but, as some of you may have heard she is suffering from this viral infection thingy (much like the rest of the population, myself and said other half included) and has already cancelled the shows up until Wednesday. Thursday/Friday are still on, until further notice.....
Thing is, we already have flights/hotel booked so if the concert doesn't go ahead we have a Friday afternoon/evening to kill in Manchester, and not a clue what's there!!

To narrow it down a bit – we are both still under the weather so nothing too energetic would be good. I’m guessing a hi-fi demo is out of the question, seeing as we’ve already done that up here. Maybe a browse at some telescopes… Museums or exhibitions… A nice place to chill out and eat would be cool – for lunch, and a romantic evening meal… But apart from that, and without knowing what the weather will bring I haven’t got a clue?

Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated.....

Cheers,
Ali

You could go out and kill, but in Manchester it is more usual to just nick some cars and do some joy-riding, or hang around on street corners in white sportswear and sell crack. Practice some phrases before you go.
