First off you need to decide whether you are going to use the HiCap to power the Stageline or the Nait 5. It can't do both.
Once you have done that you need two leads.

The first one, a SNAIC, goes from the Signal Source (Nait or Stageline) to the input socket at the back rightmost position on the HiCap (viewed from the back). This lead will have 5 pin Din plugs on either end. This is the lead that provides power to the signal source.

The other connection depends which you are powering from the HiCap

NAIT powered by HiCap
The signal is then passed onto the amp section of the Nait using a lead which has 4 pin Din plugs on either end. For preference this lead goes into the rightmost of the 3 off 4 pin Din sockets on the HiCap (next to the one you just plugged the SNAIC into). The Stageline then gets it's power from the Nait 5. Be sure that you plug the lead from the stageline into the LEFTHAND "AUX 2" socket on the rear of the Nait (viewed from the back of the amp) and importantly with the link plug fitted to the RIGHTHAND "AUX 2" socket. Note also that the link plugs that connect the pre and power amp sections of the Nait when it is self powered should also be removed in this case.

STAGELINE powered by HiCap
In this case you need a lead which has the a 4 pin Din plug at one end which plugs into the leftmost of the 3 off 4 pin Din sockets on the HiCap, and at the other end has a 5 pin Din plug which goes into the RIGHTHAND "AUX 2" socket on the rear of the Nait (viewed from the back of the amp) and importantly with the link plug fitted to the LEFTHAND "AUX 2" socket. Note also that the link plugs that connect the pre and power amp sections of the Nait should also be fiited in this case.

Sounds confusing? Best of all and for maximum safety go to the Naim audio official web site, click on "products" and chose "Manuals". There are downloadable pdf's with diagrams of all of this.

Good Luck

I have a configuration like that, nait5/hi/stageline. I've always ran it with the HiCap on the Nait pre amp. If you do this, then just follow the instructions in the Nait 5 owners manual that show you how to connect a FlatCap2.

I've often wondered about a Power supply on the Stageline, but since I have lotsa Cds too, I felt that the HiCap would be better on the preamp, thus benefitting CD and LP. System is complicated enough as it is without wanting to add a second HiCap for the Stageline ... although that old devil temptation is always there.
