Anyone else find that they are unable to watch a women's match with the sound on? The shrieks moans and grunts drive me crazy. They should be fined on an escalating scale for every such utterance. Never mind that it is "gamesmanship" at best and blatant cheating at worst: the complete alienation of spectators should be enough to see their prize-money eliminated.

David - not being a very nationalistic kind of person i'm always pretty neutral to be honest. But I do just marvel at Roger's play. And today was a case in point - just a supreme example of the game. Andy's got to stick with it and keep believing - it will happen.

Federer was just too good today once he got going - though it was a sloppy service game by Murray that handed him the momentum.
Obviously Murray should have won the third set, but I think he was shellshocked by the standard of Federer's play in the second and made some uncharacteristic errors on crucial points. Gutsy performance though. I honestly think he'd have beaten anyone else in the world today, but Federer is just on a different level when he's at his best.

Just saw the end of the game but based on what I saw I agree with you on all points. Federer is one of the game's greatest but I'm sure Murray will have a chance to final get that elusive British grand slam win.

After all, we've only been waiting "150,000 years". It's refreshing to see a top sportsman with a wry sense of humour too. Federer is a great champion - Murray's time will come but there's a lot of competition out there, so it's by no means certain. Good for the sport IMO

Federer won big time, awesome play & probably that game was one of his best ever, if not thee best by anyone, ever.
Andy had nothing to be ashamed of - except those lost set points in the 3rd.
With all the new young bucks barking in the sidelines, what if Andy becomes the 2nd dour scot never to win a major.
Hopefully not, his talent is just too good, dominating Nadal as he did in Melbourne shows what he is capable of
Just a thought tho'

Fed was superb as expected - just a pity that the only guy who can match and beat him at his best now has dodgy knees.
Fed is a lot more relaxed as he knows Nadal's best days are already over and mens tennis and sport in general has been robbed of a great rivalry.
There'll never be a tennis final like Wimbledon 2008 again. Ever.
