Winding up a guitar

Caught "The Tears" at Shep Bush Empire last night, I'd forgotten what a great player Bernard Butler is, I haven't heard a guitar wound up like that for ages! Go see em.

Chris,
Was this with Brett Anderson?
I read sometime ago that they were to bring out an album in spring 2005, but haven't heard anything since. Do you know anything about this?

Hi Peter
Yes dear old Bret was in attendance and talking about "this is a song from our 2nd album" which is preety confident stuff considering that the first isn't out yet! Bret in fine voice, band gelled nicely. "The Tears" album out on 6th June I believe, if you heard the single "Refugees" you'll know that it's going to be an awful lot like Suede, but with more maturity. I always thought that Suede without Butler were Anderson and a backing band, now they're back together the dynamic is back and they rock. It's like having two frontmen, they'v e both grown since the early stuff.

Received an email from EIL this morning saying they had the album in stock, also in (limited edition) vinyl.
Ordered the vinyl.
