How Spooky is THIS? (9/11)
Posted by: Justyn on 21 November 2005
Read below and let me have your comments, especially the bottom section. I,m sure there's numurous explanations for most of it, but the word thing has got me baffled. (BTW don,t know how accurate the facts are, it's taken from an e-mail I received).
11 has become a very interesting number. It could be a forced
coincidence, but in any case the following is very interesting. Have a
read and decide for your self:
1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened the Twin Towers in 1993)
has
11 letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
This could be a mere coincidence.... could it be true???? Now here is
what is interesting.
1) New York is the state 11.
2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight no 11.
3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11
4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. Add
this 6+5 = 11
5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known, 9 + 1 +
1 = 11
6) The date is equal to the emergency number 911. Adding 9+1+1+= 11.
Now this is very upsetting.
1) The total number of victims inside the planes were 254. 2 + 5 + 4 =
11
2) The day September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2
+ 5
+ 4 + = 11. Leaving 111 days left in the year.
3) The tragedy of 3/11/2004 in Madrid also adds up to 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4
= 11.
4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers.
Spooky. read on.
This is really eerie. This is something to think about!
Since America is typically represented by an Eagle. Saddam and Bin laden
should have read up on their Muslim passages... The following verse is
taken from the Quran, (The Islamic bible) Quaran. (9.11) For it is
written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of
the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some
of the people trembled in despair still more
rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah@ and
there was peace.
Note the verse number...
Now got to Microsoft word and do the following!!!
1. Open up word.
2. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane
to hit one of the towers.
3. Highlight the Q33 NY.
4. Change the font size to 48.
Then change the actual font to WINGDINGS

Seven is my favourite number. Fredrik
Posted on: 21 November 2005 by Justyn
Fredrik,
Funny enough 7's also my favorite number, I think more than 50% of people choose the number 7. Why is that?
Justyn.

What I'd like to know is, how is New York state number 11?
Jon
PS: The wingdings thing is impressive.
Posted on: 21 November 2005 by u5227470736789439
It's to do with the number seven being a very close approxiamtion to the Golden ratio of ten, or so researchers have summised...
But it si true that if you ask people seven is quite spectacularly the favourite number of the largest minority or even just a majority of people.
All the best from Fredrik
PS: Of all the great composers, Bach was the one most interested in the study of numbers, and his themes have numerical sygnifiacnces, or so some say, including Marie Claire Alain, as to their expresiive nature, let alone counting the bars in the music shows a startling and wholy unco-incidental structural significance relating to the numbers. Almost mysterious in fact...
Posted on: 21 November 2005 by Justyn
Jon,
I think New York is the 11th state in the constitution.

Oh right.
Thanks Justyn.

7 is the number of God.
Anybody have 6 as a favourite number...
Posted on: 21 November 2005 by Justyn
No, but I know quite a few people who have the number 8 as their favourite number, and one who likes 13
How do people choose their favourite number?
Regards
Justyn.

The subject was, in the Age of the Enlightenment, the age of Newton et al, considered a science to rate alongside natural phylosophy (physics) and was styled Numerology. It has along and noble history even if the significance of it is indeed lost on those not versed in it! It is hardly a great surprise that numbers as high as 22 had a very real significance in the religeous, and scientific basis of Bach's music, but if you are really interested there have been books written on the subject, and pressumably by people not in nead of medication!
All the bets from Fredrik
PS, perhaps we should wonder what significance the number eleven has to the purpetrators of this catastrophic and inhumaine act...

8 is the lucky number in Japan.
Posted on: 21 November 2005 by Nime
I have never ever thought about having a lucky number.
Though I used to have the number 46 on a bit of cardboard tied on the front of my bike as a kid after seeing Bob McIntyre racing at Kirkauldy Park .

8 is lucky among the Chinese because the word for 8 sounds the same as the word for "wealth" (I think).
Is there any particular explanation why the Japanese think 8 is lucky?

Folks,
The Wingdings thing is totally contrived, Q33NY wasn't the tail number of any of the 4 aircraft hijacked on September 11th. Someone just made that bit up. Some of the other bits relating to the no. 11 can be seen to be true, but then again the flight that hit the Pentagon was flight no. 77 - so much for being lucky!
Mind you, most people think of this plane as being the 3rd one hijacked, so if you add 7 + 7 then subtract 3 you get 11...
Regards,
Rich.

I just found that out too, as is the verse from the Quran apparently. Am rather glad because it would be very freaky otherwise.

I think the whole thing is contrived. You could point out that your posts are on the 22nd (2x11) of the 11th month at 11.00pm, and that the USA has 11 time zones. You could pick anything basically.
I think hoaxes like this are in poor taste anyway.
Posted on: 22 November 2005 by Steve Bull
9 + 11 = 20. Conspiracy theory crap has twenty letters.
Steve.

Rasher,
I did say in my original post
quote:
(BTW don,t know how accurate the facts are, it's taken from an e-mail I received).
It was also my intention not to offend anyone. I,ll make sure I check my facts first next time.
Justyn.

Hey, no Justyn, I didn't mean it like that. It's just that as this is a hoax, someone has sat down and thought how they can get a laugh out of it; and that to me is a bit sick. It's understandable that anyone who reads the e-mail will give it some thought as it's presented as a fact. You didn't start this thread saying "isn't this a good joke", you asked "could this be true?", so
there is the difference. It's the hoaxer that should be a bit more sensitive. Sorry Justyn. This has gone two pages and so far no-one else has suggested yet that it's in bad taste, so it must just be me anyway.
Posted on: 22 November 2005 by Justyn
Rasher,
I,m more than a little annoyed with myself that I didn,t check some of the facts before the post. I checked my mail late last night and posted without really thinking too much about it.
The more you look at it, I agree with you that it's not in the best of taste (it would be different if the statements were factual).
As they say "You live and learn".
BTW and off the thread, I,m picking up a set of Linn Isobariks tomorrow (thought I'd give them a go) to replace my FB 1's. Anyone know whether this is a good move or am I going sideways/backwards?
Regards
Justyn.

As my brother (a mad scientist) pointed out to me once, of all the billions and billions of things happening in the world, what would really be truly astonishing is if some of them were not coincidentally alike in some way.
Remember that "Ronald Wilson Reagan" could conclusively be "proven" to be Beasty Beelzebub, with the 6-6-6 arrangement of his name, 3 x 6 being 18 (R is the eighteenth letter of the alphabet)and a similar list to the above of other "spooky" connections.
Although personally I thought the Thatcher friendship was far more compelling evidence. That and the horns. And Nancy. However, he died without the whole of Revelation really coming to pass. Either that or Jesus is running terribly late.
For every "freaky" 11 coincidence in the list above there are undoubtedly dozens (well elevens certainly) of other totally mindbendingly unamazing numbers.
I did find it amusing when a comedian (Linda Smith I think it was) commenting on the old adage that if you got an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters, eventually one of them would produce the complete works of Shakespeare. She commented that way, way before that one of them would've typed "hey hey we're the monkees".

Don't be too sensitive to what people say here to your inoocent attempts to amuse and entertain your fellow inmates. Half the time the buggers are just in a bad moood, bored or nurse didn't bring their meds.
BTW: The nurse is called "Adam". Just think "Little Britain" and you'll get the right idea.
Now just keep smiling and nodding approvingly as you back towards the door keeping your hands where we can see them. (But don't blame me if it doesn't work!)
Since nobody here knows squat about hifi you might get a better response about your speaker question on the serious forum: HiFi Corner.
Where you will, without-doubt, be overwhelmed with more information, enthusiasm and nostalgia by the friendliest bunch of weekend Brik-layers that you could hope to meet.

Folks,
My screen name has twelve letters in: NaimThatTune
Naim's finest pre-amp is the 552 - add up the numbers 5+5+2 and you get 12 too!!
Anna, I know you're monitoring this thread, just send me an email and I'll let you know my address to send me my complimentary 552...
Just mucking around, I wouldn't have a 552 even if someone gave one to me...
Cheers!
Rich
(P.S. My real name has 11 letters in, too!)
