A good result for England against Russia tonight and all that, etc, etc...but what about the Scottish result? A 1-0 win away in France! Fair play to them! That now gives them an excellent chance of qualifying and shows that their recent revival is no fluke.

Good to see them back at the top table.

Scotland beat France to head the group which includes World Champions - Italy AND Led Zeppelin announce a gig on the same day ... I'll wake up soon.

Seriously though it would be great if we could get through to the first tournement proper since France 1998. To see Zep would be even more amazing.

Now if Wales can only do the business against Australia on Saturday night the other half will be just as chuffed as me ...

It would be nice to see the Jocks qualify, if only so they keep out the French or Italians - personally I wish them as much success in the competition proper as they do the English.

Tsk, tsk.... I just can't understand why you would think that the Scot's wouldn't want England to do well. In fact getting to the final and being gubbed by the jocks would be a great outcome! Smile

Actually, in best Scottish fashion we will probably screw up the rest of the (very tough) fixtures....

'fraid I am, Jim but, like Jamie, married to a Scot. Besides I've always supported the home nations when they are playing anyone other than England, even if I do enjoy the banter from time to time. I'm genuinely pleased for the Scots and hope they go all the way.

As a Scot I even like to see England do well at Cricket, especially against those all too good Ozzie's.....

Glad to see Steve McClaren finally having something to smile about...the initial stick he got was ludicrous.
