How do you post pictures on here (from CD)?

There's a row of buttons along the top of the panel where you type in your text. Click on the one with the paperclip on it and browse to the file you want to include. I've only uploaded jpg files and there's a file size limit.

Damn the file size is 10K too big

Help!

In the photography thread, there are some great quality pictures that seem to be better than the 50k file size would first suggest.
It would be helpful to know what people do, ie, pixell count, image size etc.

Right. Try again.

Success - Rasher, reduced the size a bit (well someone else did)....

I'm telling you that bass resonance is too much...

Rasher,

If you go into "image size", you can alter the size of the image, funny enough.

There is no point in having an image with the longest length larger than 500 pixels. This will bring the file size down considerably.

When you ask it to be saved as a jpeg, you will be given different quality settings for you to choose from. It will be a simple matter of choosing the highest setting that will bring the file size below 50kb

Count.d
Anyone

What photo manipulating programs do you recommend using - I have been trying to post a picture but to no avail. I seem to be struggling to get the image size below 60KB.

Cheers

Mike

A useful small easy to use photo viewer and basic editor is PMVIEW from
www.pmview.com

it has the ability to convert to different file types, resize, adjust brightness contrast colour bias, jpeg lossless rotate and it has an excellent light table viewer that enables you to see all the pictures and then select the one you need to do things to.

It does not attempt to compete with photoshop - it is a very fast triage type product.

I have used it for many years and subscribed to each new version as it becomes available. - Just give a try. It is not a big file to download.
