Moto GP - Rossi v Stoner last night

If anyone Sky box'ed this, sit down and pour a long drink before you watch it.

One of the most brilliant one on one contests I have ever seen and truly scary at times.

It made Hamilton's achievements in passing a few people yesterday seem tame by comparison.

yes I watched this by chance last night. I'm not a regular motoGP fan but this was fantastic racing. The technology of cameras on the bikes really conveys the dangerous slots these guys place themselves in to pass.

It did seem almost voyeuristic to be egging them on to risk serious injury - but bewildering skills on display.

Great day of sport yesterday , F1, Open golf, MotoGP.

Considering the number of wipe-outs at practice & qualifying on Saturday, it's astonishing that they can race at that pace and that fired-up for that long. It's shame that it didn't go to the line, but even so, this is what motor racing should be about.
Reminded me of the days of Schwantz & Rainey when it was just a question of falling off or winning.

Have to say that it makes F1 a look like the boring procession that it is. The 125 and 250 racing is superb too. I'm surprised it hasn't got a bigger following.

Brilliant race, pity Stoner made a mistake and Rossi was very lucky that he stayed on the bike when he started dirtriding with his machine.
Very clever plan from Rossi. He did everything possible to keep Stoner behind him. He probably knew Stoner would be quicker in front so Rossi took a few risks.

It's great to see that Rossi hasn't lost the edge. He hasn't turned into a Doohan, thank goodness.

Yep, hard not to like Rossi! Cool

Heard Stoner was booed at Donington....

I stopped going to WSB when Foggerty fans started booing everyone else, including my man Aaron Slight, who was my favourite rider at the time. Suddenly, with the success of Foggerty, Brands and Donington was heaving with Xenophobic morons who didn't understand bike racing and were there only because it was a Brit day out.
I never returned. Haven't been to a bike race since, I was so disgusted. I don't want to be ashamed to be British, but sometimes I am. It killed it stone dead for me.

Haga... for me, a WSB great.

I don't like the Ducatis winning with the bigger engines. This kills superbikes in my view.
