Technical Nait 2 question

Posted by: Justin on 14 March 2003

To those who might know:

Is there a way to tap into a regulated +24 VDC rail in the Nait 2? Does the pre-amp section even run from a regulated supply?

Thanks

No,

I need to run an outboard phono section. So, I need a 24 volt rail. I know it's not ideal. But, it's either this or find a MM cartridge, which i don't have much interest in for the moment.

You know, I never thought about dry cells. That's an interesting alternative.

The nait 2 has an MM section which, I'm assuming, runs off of 24 VDC. This would never be used. Hence, I don't see what harm could result from tapping into its power rail.

Thanks for the dry cell tip. I'll see how that pans out. Anybody out there think dry cells are a bad idea.
