I've been having the pleasure of a CDS3 home trial this weekend & jolly good it is too.
However I've come a CD or two that would happily play on my CDX but refuses to spin up on the CDS3. Can you get a stronger grip puck from Naim to cover this?

Jeff,
carefully check the puck your dealer supplied with the CDS3. It's easily confused with the earlier type which is used on the CDX.
The CDS3 puck should have longer pins, if yours doesn't then it'll have problems playing discs.
Otherwise just check that the rubber grips haven't got compressed - you can gently pinch them out with your fingertips and all should be fine.

It's definately the CDS3/CDX2 specific puck. I'll try it again but the puck is only a week old.
For clarity do naim produce a puck that is more tolerent of thinner discs? I appreciate for ultimate sound quality you would want the standard puck but I've have met discs that my CDX also struggles with (takes a few spin-ups to grip proberly). If I'm going to blow £7k on a new CD player I'd like to think it would be able to play all my discs.
