i am getting back my tuner from a friend it is a nad 4225 i think, i live in a rented house so a quality external FM aerial is a no-no, so any suggestions on a good indoor aerial that will perform adequately?
thanks

Anselm,

Somewhere on the forum is another thread dealing with this topic, but ....

If a simple wire dipole will not do, I can recommend the Magnum Dynalab ST-2 omni-directional indoor/outdoor antenna (~$99US) and the SR-100 ($30US MSRP) silver ribbon tuneable antenna. I have both and they work very well.

Cheers

Audio mag of Jan or March, 1990 had an article on homebrew's. The H-shaped one was great - I usedit for several years. The MD ST2 is much better looking, but not better performing.

In my old flat I used the circular bit of a Ron Smith Galaxy 17 and it worked really well. I now use the whole Galaxy 17 on my NAT01 and I would say anything else than a Galaxy 17 or GAlaxy 0 is a massive compromise and you are probably better of with DAB or a Sky Digibox but done right a NAt01 is the business and can beat any source

Is a TV aerial OK for radio?

I use a TV aerial and find it a vast improvement over the T shaped freebie that you get to start you off with.
