Very interesting situation.
Came home after 5 days to find that the input for the 01 was shorting out(No left channel and noise from the right.). This was strange because I had just used it before we had left. Matter of fact, the 01 has been playing music 24/7 for over a year(other than playing CD). The family goes to sleep and wakes up to music.

Switched inputs and all was well(tape). Funny, punched the other inputs to see what would/could happen. I hit the phono input and heard the tuner input.
Cool.HUH?

Well, its off to the Naim Audio Neurology association.(NANA)........

One good thing though. Having the Super and the 52 recapped.

Best Regards to all,

Marc

yes, well that's 52s for you. Too complicated input switching for its own good.

sounds remarkably similar to the optocoupler fault I had some time ago on my 82. Should be an easy fix for Naim if this is the case.

Of course, a 552 is the most sensible approach! wink Alternately eliminate the pesky 01 by exiling it for a time in New Zealand!
