Manu:

IIRC, I believe that you said that you were running active NBLs with 250s (old/new?). Is there any significant advantage to using 135s on the tweeters (with a pair of 250s on the mid/bass)?

I am presently running active SBLs with 250s but considering moving to active NBLs and have thought of moving to a 4-pack (135/250 combo) with my SBLs first before moving to NBLs.

Paul,
The NBLs are now run passive with a 300. It is way better than SNAXO/Hicap/3* olive 250.

For the 135s on highs, i've never tried it. I suppose it can be better. But at what point, i don't know. I would go this way only as a temporary step toward a 6 pack.
It is also possible to run 3*250 (highs+2*mids (lows unplugged)) + 2*135 for lows with 2 green cables.Wink

Interesting. I heard the NBLs with 252/300 and was not so impressed. Not that it wasn't good but it lacked that something special that I find with active systems. Hmmm...perhaps, I should try again, though. Your comment is the first to claim, IIRC, that a 300 passive is better than active.

Yes, but read my lips: a passive 300 is better than active olive 250 and hicapped SNAXO.
I have still to try active with new 250, i anticipate the result will no be the same.
Believe me a LP12/ARO/XX2/Prefix/CDS3/252/300/2*Fraim/NBL should impress you (unless you are used to 552/500).
