That should wake them up! Honestly, thats what I think, having compared them( on Linn Isobariks...Okay, maybe some special synergy)

...it's the associated equipment in your profile otherwise a broken 250. I borrowed a Nait 3R once (just to see what Naim had learned over the years while I was "unNaimed"). The Nait (w/hicap) blew away my Kairn/280 in sound quality (and with less distortion at equally high volume levels). Speakers were (are) DMS.

Too easy. You had a broken 280 or some other problem with your kit.
