Jaguar X-Type Advert

Posted by: Ian Hughes on 12 June 2001

Does anyone happen to know what the backing music to the new Jaguar X-type advert is?

Everytime the advert is shown, my wife keeps saying "I wonder who sings that?"

Thanks - here's hoping

I'll keep an ear out. As long as your other half isn't saying "oh, I want one of them!".

Every time I see that ad, my only reaction is "oh yes, that really makes me want to buy one! NOT!". big grin

I just hope Jaguar felt they got their money's worth out of the ad agency. It's a large contrast to what I saw of the US campaign.

and it's taken from the OST to the David Lynch film - Wild at Heart.

Why?

Hi,

I think its not Chris Isaak but some one else doing a quite good impression, but the guitar sounds terrible it turns my stomach to listen to it, the original is much better. And the girl with no pants on!!! what's that for as if I didn't know can't they think of something less subtle!!!.

Many thanks for the replies.

By using a cunning combination of subtle snide comments and brute force with a cricket bat, I've managed to persuade her that it's just a Ford Mondeo in disguise (and she doesn't like them!).

oh yeah, but the prices of each of the albums named will rise by an undiclosed (and unagreed) price after you order them, and they will then proceed to fall apart.

Should be Joy Division's "Love wil tear us apart", perhaps? big grin

rather than the sonic mish-mash of Soundtrack albums, those interested in his style could track down Chris Isaac. Pretty good listening, and a great recording too. I picked this one up in 1987 on vinyl after reading about it in The Absolute Sound (ok, so I lose some FEP's for having them in the closet cool ) - possibly one of less-than-ten useful peices of info I gleamed from years of readership. IIRC Chris Isaac was described as dressing in his mother's sofa and curtains, or words to that effect.
