Bristol Show Forum Sessions

Posted by: Doug Graham on 18 February 2002

This years forum sessions will be at 3.30pm on each day. All one has to do is go to the Naim info desk on the mezzanine and tell the nice lady that you're a forum contributor and you'd like a ticket. In the interest of fairness I'd like to think that "a ticket for your mates wifes best mates husband " wont be the order of the day. Forum sessions are usually a bit different so your mates wifes best mates husband should go to any of the other 18 dems over the course of the 3 days. Hope this all makes sense. And if anyone wants to think of a "special" password..........

Heres hoping that Naim don't plan to do with the SBL(2) what Linn have done with(to?) the Kan3!
Will we see taiwanese drive units, raw chipboard rear edges, etc etc...I hope not.

Given past experience of Naim, I am sure that won't be the case.

It'll be a sad occassion when the SBL is replaced. That product represented many people's hopes and dreams of Naimdom. It's compact form and sloping baffle will be indelibly etched in their nostalgia.

Andrew,

I concure re: SBL. I spent years dreaming of affording a pair and have finally achieved my goal - but just as I get there those buggers at Naim replace them! eek

Incidentally Doug - I'm now on my own and don't require a ticket for Eilish - I'm not sure if that means I dare spend more money or less though!

Cheers Doug,

I think I will have to do a comparison then...attend the earlier one with some mates and then the forum one later on....

Will there be any equipment differences or just the way it is all done??

Cheers

Scott

P.S. The day i get my girlfriend to a hi-fi show is the day Paul Stephenson buys a mini system to replace his current one!

Sunday at 3:30 pm for Marco and me.

I think that is all.

Cheers,

Steve.

Actually, I should point out that you do get used to them.

They're not really ugly, just ... sizeable (especially when you sit less than eight feet away).

cheers, Martin

Good morning to you! smile

BTW, Briks are fantastic, and manufacturing of them should recommence henceforth without further delay.

Regards,

Steve.

I might make it on Sunday, if I survive this blinking cold I've contracted.

Frank.

I've heard about these "white van loudspeakers". cool

We can buy them cheap for cash in the car park? wink

As for the dem, has this van received any acoustic treatment,
and how many of us can fit in at once?

Doug,

if you get to read this, I'm afraid I won't be able to attend this year, despite our conversation about places at the Saturday demo.

Thanks anyway, Martin
