Newbie looking for opinions

Hi,
I am new to this forum, and have read through lots of the old notes. I am looking at second hand gear and am on a fairly tight budget ($1000-1300). I am considering getting a NAP180 and NAC32.5. They seem to be some of the more available at this time. This would basically deplete all my funds, but would allow me to upgrade via new phono boards, NAC72 boards, recapping, Hi-Cap in the future. Most of these upgrades would also be invisible to the wife. roll eyes
I realize this violates some of the ideas here, in that I am putting most of my money into the amp first.
My system is currently a NAIT1 with rega planet CD, and Rega P3 table, and Castle Severn speakers.
.
last question is the 72 board upgrade to a 32.5 a "do at home" type of plug and play upgrade or must it be sent to NANA?
thanks for your time

If you can have a 180+32.5 combo for 1,300$, go for it, you won't regret it.
Check the 32.5, before purchasing the upgrade kit, I have often been favorably surprised to see the upgrade already in place in used 32.5. The upgrade uses 729 boards.
The 32.5 upgrade is a do at home thing. You just have to change 4 cards. It comes with all the explanations. However, call NANA, they should not charge much to do the fitting if you are not shure of yourself.
