Hello are there any AV amps that have gret sound playback with CD,s as I,ve heared that the quality is not as good as a HI FI Amp

Some A/V amps offer a decent sound with CD (eg. some Sony amps) but they do not equal a dedicted stereo amp at a similar price. Although superficially similar bits of kit the demands placed on home cinema amps are very different to those placed on music (2 channel) amps. You need to decide on your priorities - are you primarily into movies or music? If, like me, you value both equally as entertainment, then if budget allows you should buy a dedicated music amp and integrate this with an A/V amp for surround sound. This is easily done and is a common solution. If music is your main concern then buy a stereo amp and just watch movies in stereo. If you are more into movies then buy a decent A/V amp that performs OK with CD's - look at the magazine reviews for guidance.
