Cover Art?

Posted by: Lark on 16 August 2009

Could some kind soul please give me a brief run down on how to post cover art on the What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? thread or a link to a how to thread?

Computers after all these years still have areas that are a complete bloody mystery!

Thanks in advance.

I can tell you how I do it on a Mac ...

I go to amazon.com, find the recording/cover art:

1. "control/click" on the artwork
2. a window opens, select "copy image address"

come to Naim forum, click What Listen thread and at last entry click "Reply"

3. in the message window, click the second icon from the right at the top of the window.
4. place cursor in Image URL line and use "apple key/letter "V" simultaneously, the image address should show on the line.
5. click "ok" in the image window
6. text can be added before or after the image window
7. click "post now"

hopefully that helps some, assume pc would be similar but use mouse right click as appropriate

I look forward to your listening habits.

Using Jeff's text as a starting point to do it on a PC ...

I go to amazon.com, find the recording/cover art:

1. "right click" on the artwork and select 'properties' in the drop down menu.
2. a window opens, with an http statement listing for the image.
3. Use the mouse cursor to highlight the complete htpp statement then 'right click' over the highlighted text string and select 'copy'

come to Naim forum, click What Listen thread and at last entry click "Reply"

3. in the message window, click the second icon from the right at the top of the window.
4. place cursor in Image URL line and use 'right click' followed by 'paste' to copy the image htpp address in the line.
5. click "ok" onn the image window
6. text can be added before or after the image window
7. click "post now"
