expectations exceeded

Having just posted a Dissapointment, I got to thinking the other way around: concerts attented where you assumed it'd be okay, but your mind was thoroughly blown.
Number one for me was John Zorn and Masada, who I wasn't that familiar with but a friend told me I had to go. He'd played me some samples, and I thought it would be interesteing, but it's up there with my all time fave concerts. The first time I ever "got" free jazz from start to finish. Wow!
