Got back home yesterday to find that the cleaners had completely rearranged shelves 1,2 & 3 (32.5, lingo & Hicap)in order to dust underneath and had shifted the Audiotech table, with Ikemi on top, completely. You can imagine my delight!
Now, like everyone else on the forum, I've discovered the significant value to be had from careful set up, cable dressing, levelling and so on, so imagine my surpise when switching it back on - yes, they'd switched off the Hi-cap and 250 so as not to waste electricity - and it sounded.......CRAP!
I went through the bloody roof and spent the rest of yesterday evening setting it up again. Still have a hum from the 250 though so I'll be busy this weekend.
Just wondered if anyone else has any horror stories to share and what punishment/revenge should be enacted on the cleaners?

Before we had kids, my wife was a compulsive cleaner and duster. As a result of this, I learned that a bent MC stylus can be straightened once, but you're out of luck the second time.

Good idea, James, but they obviously don't listen to a word I have to say - will they listen to the system? In any case, they'll probably end up liking it and want another raise.

my wife, or anyone else for that matter, is simply not allowed to clean my office (where my main hifi lives), or anything in it. i do it myself. she is happy with that arrangement as i am obsessively protective about my system...
enjoy

May be i should offer a new service in my shop:
Hi-Fi system cleaner.
The job will be done by a trained technician, using only approved/tested cleaning products (Naim and environment friendly).
