Eating On The Dole In Germany in 2005:
Posted by: Berlin Fritz on 16 June 2005
As our Mick amongst others quite rightly & often point out lazy benefit scroungers like myself should never be given any sympathy or leeway when it comes to un-earned luxury's. After speaking to my pensioner Mother last night in London, I did feel rather mean that she had to endure (enjoy-actually) her favourite Liverpool Street Station Cornish pasty, brought home and warmed up as her birthday supper, and I sat scoffing rump steak with all the trimmins( as our Kofi would say). Although I'm quite used to living on egg & chips, as well as toast and tuna & onions, which fortunately I enjoy all of (marmite too) I did decide to celebrate a small victory yesterday evening and I thought I'd give out the rundown of events for your education(s), innit.
Basket of small well ripe (last day) mushrooms €0,79, pack of fresh
Italian 'thingy ?'salad € 0,99, 1 Large Spanish onion €0,27, some fine Cretian Olive oil which I already had (used 0,25 of the small
bottle, 1 fresh lemon, fresh garlic (already there), and two pretty
decent sized Rump Steaks (last day of sell by date, ie, 35% reduction)
€4,58 the pair (not an ounce of fat to be seen on them (just like moir ?)).
Cooked it all up & washed it down with some (cooled Aussie Shiraz 2001) €2,99, not to mention the Thai chili sauce to slightly spruce up the gravy, and mopped up with some very basic rye bread (no butter). It's now some 24 hours after that enjoyable meal (as good if not better than any restaurant)(as well as watching Oz & Germany pretending to play football) and now I've repeated the whole excercise once again, though today's steak was marinated overnight in Fritz's special survival of the fattest (fittest even) top secret Nat King Cole recipe, cos if yer dinnee stay on top, nobody's gonna do it for yers,( I eat red meat about twice a year if I'm lucky that is): innit.
Fritz Von And then there was winter, but that's another story entirely
Pish: For those wise guys & gals who say 'Get A JOB', do something you
lazy fat git, I remind them that all the SAS/SBS+ training in the world will not prepare you for the street & 'legal' City survival, so never make the silly mistook of thinking otherwise, or tell yer kids that old bollocks either, ken ? It's quite simple really:
P.S I live on roughly €8,00 a day after rent, tele/internet, and electricity (PM) which I personally find sufficient. Medical insurance, various taxes (depending on who you are & what you do) & pension, etc, have been calculated prior to these cash payments based on ones working history etc, innit. So when Our Mick wants his Spanish benefits as a pensioner it'll be intrersting to see how he gets on ?
