Covers James Taylor

I've been listening to James Taylor's excellent and wonderful new album, COVERS. It's ironic that for all the great songs he's written, so many of his hits have been covers ... You've Got A Friend, How Sweet It Is, Up On the Roof, Handyman, etc.
The new album runs the gamut from Hound Dog to Wichita Lineman, Not Fade Away to Suzanne. And it was recorded live in the studio with his core band (Steve Gadd, Larry Goldings, Michael Landau, Jimmy Johnson, Lou Marini, and the other usual suspects), everyone playing together at the same time, almost no overdubs.
It's fantastic, highly recommended!
All best,
Fred
