I was a young teen in Philly and a family of boys moved in and my 2 sisters and I had them over for cards and music. Great fun, making new friends. They brought their records and early Who was in them, Boris the Spider and Magic Bus knocked me over. By the time I was senior in high school I was really into Who's Next and living in Southern California.

I was a massive Who fan as a teenager, but even back in the late 70's when I saw them at The Wembley Arena they had totally lost it IMO.
I personally wouldn't bother - it would be too depressing to see the 2 remaining old men live in concert.

Don't agree guys. Saw them last year. Took my teenage daughters to see them and they were in awe that 2 "old men" could create that energy albeit with the help of a few others including the amazing Zak Starkey.

I'm with Fender bloody good show, really enjoyed it and more to the point it looked like Pete and Roger did too.

That's good to hear.

15 years ago someone asked Jagger if he was going to retire? He replied "and do what become a gardener?"

gee I think Harrison did that.
I'd love to see pics of his place in England and all the Japanese maples he planted.

Lovely story about George Harrison. He was driving Joe Brown around his estate in this little golf buggy and apparently every few hundred yards they would stop at one of these summer houses and George would open a fridge and offer Brown a beer. Brown commented "blimey George" you've got everything well organised here" to which Harrison replied "well I am rather wealthy you know" in mock posh accent!
