After recently being assured I should be getting more from my existing turntable I have been experimenting.
After cleaining the pigtails and associated connectors and remounting the cartridge from scratch (no pun intended) and employing a better cleaning system (wet one) for the discs I'm really upset that I wasted all that bloody money on CDs. I've never heard music sound this good and even then I always preferred vinyl to the CD player!
No offence to Naim, the CD player rocks! But I have a mere Axis with a Basik arm and Goldring 1012 and its awesome. Did I forget to mention the phono stage is presently a Project phono box!
Now for the question - Naim phono cards... they're gonna be better right? They're a steal at £95 anyway - but an XLPs or the creek?
Linn decks are oft mentioned... I'm just assuming the lack of phono stage mentions is just because the naim ones are cracking?
Thanks to everyone who replied before... I can spend cash on more groovy discs now instead of a new deck!
Sorry 'bout the bad grammar and arrangement - Listening to some vinyl and it's way too distracting! :P
Looking forward to getting some sort of support too.
diamonds - she'll pretty much have to...
