New Shop alert

There is a new(ish) record shop near Berwick Street Soho called...
"The Sounds of the Universe" in Broadwick Street, off Berwick Street, opposite the frilly pants shop, Agent Provocateur.
They (SotU, not AP) have a decent range of groove music, from electronica, techno, hip hop, jazz, rock etc. and I was impressed by the depth of their stock cover, listening facilities etc.
I picked up another Akufen remix, and could have selected a lot more items if not constrained by time and an already full record bag.
Check it out, (or if you don't like modern music, avoid)

Nice one David.
Do they have plenty of vinyl? I was planning to do some shopping later this week...

Yes, there is a good supply of vinyl, both at browser level and on the floor.
Probably more vinyl than CD, which is good to see.
They have a couple of decks to try stuff out as well.
Prices look medium, not cheap, but they do have the variety of new stuff that I look for.
I shall have to alter my route now to :
Selectadisc - Reckless Dance - Reckless Other - Sounds of the Universe - Koobla - Sister Ray - Record & Tape Exchange, with occational forays into XSF, Daddy Kool, Vinyl Underground etc.
It looks as Chocci's Chewns in St. Annes Court across the road has shut down, which is a shame for the harder trance and techno stuff, as well as the amusement of seeing DJ Chocci dancing on the counter revving the punters up, and hearing the new tracks for the record label being recorded next door - Those burbling 303 and 808s!

ITD - Beyonce - Crazy in Love

Alex?
Why shocked? It's a brilliant track, with an even more brilliant video.
Three hooks in one song is better than the average pop fare.- The Horn stab, the oh oh oh oh, and the chorus line
I predict another No.1 seller, I can smell it already.

ITD - still Beyonce

Alex,
Get out and buy it tomorrow! We need to get it to the top as it deserves. It is available on DVD single, and two Cds. I haven't seen it released on vinyl yet, but I am hopeful.
I advised a mum and small child in a record shop on Saturday what the track was called, when it was released, etc.
