AV2 and monoamps

Showing my ignorance here but can you drive monoamps from the AV2 without going through another pre-amp.

looking to reduce box count by driving my monoamps+NAP175 from AV2 and eliminating my preamp altogether

also has anyone used a stageline into AV2?

This is as I understand it what Naim do when the pre-amp is switched to unity gain. The signal goes straight to the power amp. OK it goes via the pre-amp cabling wise but the pre-amp does nothing to the signal.

Thanks for the reply Trevor, but if you want to just use the AV2 as a preamp can you drive monoamps (135s etc) directly from AV2 or do you need to keep the preamp

You need to order a Y-cable (DIN-4 to 2 XLR-3) from your dealer.

I see no reason why with the correct cable to connect the AV2 output to the inputs of your power amps there should be any problems.
# Point of caution #
Set the AV2 front volume output in the setup menu and the overall volume control on the AV2 to minimum prior to switching on the power amps and adjust upwards as required to avoid any loud suprises.

I have such a cable that went from my AV2 to two 135s. I think it's called an NA-52
