What isolation base

Hey guys,

Just wondering if sorbothane feets and platforms work well with Naim amplification, or do they perform more magically with ceramics/carbon graphite materials.(DH Cones/BDR)

Appreciate your contributions,

Thank you

Any views on Sorbothane feet (from Audiophilecandy.com) for NAIM kit?

Terence,

I have an AF StarBase rack, which has wooden boards with sorbothane strips & rubber feet.

I can tell you that my CDS2 is a lot happier with glass and ball bearings.

Julian Vereker used Base racks, and he used the wooden boards with ball bearings instead of rubber under the CDS2.

Note that the CDS2 has metal feet instead of rubber because it sounds better with a really solid contact through the rack and down to the floor. I believe that several components in the new range use metal feet (can someone correct me here if necessary?)

Also, Fraim contains no compliant materials - glass, wood, steel & aluminium only.

cheers, Martin
